DIY: Quilling Envelopes

All you need a piece of paper to make a pretty envelope and to top it off you can use some quilling pieces to decorate it as well.

THINGS YOU NEED

    • Scissors
    • Pencil
    • Glue
    • Envelope
    • Colored Paper
    • Quilling Needle
    • Quilling Strips

 STEPS YOU NEED TO FOLLOW…

Step 1 : Open out any envelope, lay it on top the colored piece of paper and trace the outline out with a pencil.

Step 2 : Cut the paper along the outline.

Step 3 : Fold the four flaps in.

Step 4 : Glue the two side flaps and the bottom flap together.

…AND YOU HAVE PRETTY COLORFUL ENVELOPES

ON THE MORE CREATIVE SIDE…

I used the quilling technique to make a few colorful pieces to decorate the envelope with.

Step 5 : Attach the strip of paper in the dent of the Quilling needle tip.

Step 6: Coil the strip of paper around the needle tip.

Step 7:  Let the coil uncoil a little.

Step 8: Gather the center part to one side and pull the other side together.

Step 9: Pinch the narrow side together.

Step 10:  Glue the open end of the coil down.

…AND YOU HAVE  QUILLED TEAR DROP ART WORK

Step 11: Make a design with the quilled tear drop, glue it on the envelope and if you would like, add a few sparkles to bling it up 😀

If you have any more suggestion on how to decorate the envelope, please feel free to comment. ^_^
