There are days when I wish my closet was divided into “basic” and “statement” categories where I could just go in and pick something from each, match them together and be ready in less than 5 minutes. Although I have not developed such an organizing catalog (yet) I still manage to match my statement pieces to basic clothes. For example, I found this skirt on the streets on Bangkok and it caught my eye, partly due to its eye catching print, smooth fabric and of course its’ versatility. For footwear I bought the wrap around flats which I found in Colaba and I must say, they matched perfectly with the skirt. Also I realized that since the skirt was three-quarter length it left enough room for flats the be seen. Earlier I had paired these flats up with my blue long skirt, as seen here and I realized that a statement piece whether it be an accessory or a piece of clothing can do wonders for the entire look and bring it together effortlessly.
